Bernadette’s work spans generations and continents. Her long collaboration with NordSud Verlag/NorthSouth Books (detailed in this interview) brought her great recognition and a loyal following in Europe and North America.

More recently, through her work with Medialynx, she has found popularity in Japan, where her illustrations delight millions of young readers.

Her artwork was featured in a Calpis Fruit Drinks advertising campaign and has also been animated for a series of health and beauty product commercials for Japanese television.

Bernadette is a winner of Japan’s Owl Prize, and in 2005 her artwork was included in a huge exhibition which travelled to various cities across Japan as part of the Hans Christian Andersen Bicentennial celebrations.
